Background of GPR82
Histones are the main constituents of the protein part of chromosomes of eukaryotic cells. They are rich in the amino acids arginine and lysine and have been greatly conserved during evolution. Histones pack the DNA into tight masses of chromatin. Two core histones of each class H2A, H2B, H3 and H4 assemble and are wrapped by 146 base pairs of DNA to form one octameric nucleosome. Histones play a internal role in the regulation of transcription, DNA repair, DNA replication and chromosomal stability. These different functions are established via a complex set of post-translational modifications which either directly or indirectly alter chromatin structure and DNA accessibility to facilitate transcriptional activation or repression or other nuclear processes. Anti-Histone H4 pan Antibody is ideal for research in Chromatin Remodeling, Gene Expression and Epigenetics.
Antibody Validation
Boster validates all antibodies on WB, IHC, ICC, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA with known positive control and negative samples to ensure specificity and high affinity, including thorough antibody incubations.

Question
Will anti-GPR82 antibody A14949 work on horse WB with thyroid?
T. Krishna
Verified customer
Asked: 2014-12-01
Answer
Our lab technicians have not tested anti-GPR82 antibody A14949 on horse. You can run a BLAST between horse and the immunogen sequence of anti-GPR82 antibody A14949 to see if they may cross-react. If the sequence homology is close, then you can perform a pilot test. Keep in mind that since we have not validated horse samples, this use of the antibody is not covered by our guarantee. However we have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in horse thyroid in WB, you can get your next antibody for free.

Question
We are currently using anti-GPR82 antibody A14949 for mouse tissue, and we are satisfied with the WB results. The species of reactivity given in the datasheet says human, mouse. Is it likely that the antibody can work on canine tissues as well?
H. Johnson
Verified customer
Asked: 2014-03-21
Answer
The anti-GPR82 antibody (A14949) has not been validated for cross reactivity specifically with canine tissues, but there is a good chance of cross reactivity. We have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in canine you can get your next antibody for free. Please contact me if I can help you with anything.
