My team were satisfied with the WB result of your anti-Phospho-MeCP2 (Ser80) antibody. However we have observed positive staining in skeletal muscle nucleus. using this antibody. Is that expected? Could you tell me where is MECP2 supposed to be expressed?

We are currently using anti-Phospho-MeCP2 (Ser80) antibody P00047-1 for rat tissue, and we are satisfied with the WB results. The species of reactivity given in the datasheet says human, mouse, rat. Is it likely that the antibody can work on bovine tissues as well?

The anti-Phospho-MeCP2 (Ser80) antibody (P00047-1) has not been tested for cross reactivity specifically with bovine tissues, though there is a good chance of cross reactivity. Based on Uniprot.org, MECP2 is expressed in cerebellar vermis, placenta, colon endothelium, skeletal muscle, cervix carcinoma, t-cell, leukemic t-cell, cervix carcinoma erythroleukemia, liver, among other tissues.
