|Product Name||Human EGFR PicoKine™ ELISA Kit|
|Description||Sandwich High Sensitivity ELISA kit for Quantitative Detection of Human EGFR|
|Cite This Product||Human EGFR PicoKine™ ELISA Kit (Boster Biological Technology, Pleasanton CA, USA, Catalog # EK0327)|
*Our Boster Guarantee covers the use of this product in the above tested applications.
**For positive and negative control design, consult "Tissue specificity" under Protein Target Info.
|Immunogen||Expression system for standard: NSO; Immunogen sequence: M1-S645|
|Cross Reactivity||There is no detectable cross-reactivity with other relevant proteins.|
*Sensitivity, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD), is the minimum level of target protein the ELISA assay can detect. We measure 20 blank wells and if the O.D. value is 2 standard deviations higher than the blanks' average O.D. the sample can be deemed positive.
*This assay range is determined using common samples. For samples with low target protein concentrations, users can adjust the standard curve to extend the lower limit of assay range.
|Sample Type||cell culture supernates, serum, plasma(heparin, EDTA) and human milk.
*The above listed samples are the ones valided with the assay. If you do not see your sample of interest listed, as long as there is enough level of target protein present in the sample, this Picokine™ ELISA kit should detect it.
**For protocol and tips regarding preparing your sample of interest, please check our ELISA sample preparation guide.

|Protein Name||Epidermal growth factor receptor|
|Gene Full Name||Epidermal growth factor receptor|
|Protein Function||Receptor tyrosine kinase binding ligands of the EGFfamily and activating several signaling cascades to convertextracellular cues into appropriate cellular responses. Knownligands include EGF, TGFA/TGF-alpha, amphiregulin, epigen/EPGN,BTC/betacellulin, epiregulin/EREG and HBEGF/heparin-binding EGF.Ligand binding triggers receptor homo- and/or heterodimerizationand autophosphorylation on key cytoplasmic residues. Thephosphorylated receptor recruits adapter proteins like GRB2 whichin turn activates complex downstream signaling cascades. Activatesat least 4 major downstream signaling cascades including the RAS-RAF-MEK-ERK, PI3 kinase-AKT, PLCgamma-PKC and STATs modules. Mayalso activate the NF-kappa-B signaling cascade. Also directlyphosphorylates other proteins like RGS16, activating its GTPaseactivity and probably coupling the EGF receptor signaling to the Gprotein-coupled receptor signaling. Also phosphorylates MUC1 andincreases its interaction with SRC and CTNNB1/beta-catenin.|
|Tissue Specificity||Ubiquitously expressed. Isoform 2 is alsoexpressed in ovarian cancers..|
|Sequence Similarities||Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. Tyr protein kinase family. EGF receptor subfamily.|
|Subcellular Localization||Cell membrane; In response toEGF, translocated from the cell membrane to the nucleus via Golgiand ER. Endocytosed upon activation by ligand. Colocalized withGPER1 in the nucleus of estrogen agonist-induced cancer-associatedfibroblasts (CAF).|
|Uniprot ID||EGFR: P00533
|Alternative Names||Epidermal growth factor receptor; 22.214.171.124; Proto-oncogene c-ErbB-1; Receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-1; EGFR; ERBB, ERBB1, HER1;|

Typical Data Obtained from Human EGFR PicoKine™ ELISA Kit
(TMB reaction incubate at 37°C for 15-20min)
*The typical data is obtained from Boster's internal QC result and for reference only. It may differ from the lab test results of the end users. It is more important that the user's lab test results reflect the same linearity demonstrated in the typical data than achieving exactly the same O.D. values.
