|Sample Type:||cell culture supernates, cell lysates, serum and plasma(heparin, EDTA).|
Data & Images
|Product Name||Human Kallikrein 14 PicoKine™ ELISA Kit|
|Description||For quantitative detection of human Kallikrein 14 in cell culture supernates, cell lysates, serum and plasma(heparin, EDTA).|
|Cite This Product||Human Kallikrein 14 PicoKine™ ELISA Kit (Boster Biological Technology, Pleasanton CA, USA, Catalog # EK0949)|
|Replacement Item||This antibody may replace the following items: sc-20393 from Santa Cruz Biotechnology.|
*Our Boster Guarantee covers the use of this product in the above tested applications.
**For positive and negative control design, consult "Tissue specificity" under Protein Target Info.
|Immunogen||Expression system for standard: NSO; Immunogen sequence: Q19-M248|
|Cross Reactivity||There is no detectable cross-reactivity with other relevant proteins.|
*Sensitivity, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD), is the minimum level of target protein the ELISA assay can detect. We measure 20 blank wells and if the O.D. value is 2 standard deviations higher than the blanks' average O.D. the sample can be deemed positive.
*This assay range is determined using common samples. For samples with low target protein concentrations, users can adjust the standard curve to extend the lower limit of assay range.
|Sample Type||cell culture supernates, cell lysates, serum and plasma(heparin, EDTA).
*The above listed samples are the ones valided with the assay. If you do not see your sample of interest listed, as long as there is enough level of target protein present in the sample, this Picokine™ ELISA kit should detect it.
**For protocol and tips regarding preparing your sample of interest, please check our ELISA sample preparation guide.

|Molecular Weight||29122 MW|
|Protein Function||Serine-type endopeptidase with a dual trypsin-like and chymotrypsin-like substrate specificity. May activate/inactivate the proteinase-activated receptors F2R, F2RL1 and F2RL3 and other kallikreins including KLK1, KLK3, KLK5 and KLK11. May function in seminal clot liquefaction through direct cleavage of the semenogelin SEMG1 and SEMG2 and activation of KLK3. May function through desmoglein DSG1 cleavage in epidermal desquamation a process by which the most superficial corneocytes are shed from the skin surface. May be involved in several aspects of tumor progression including growth, invasion and angiogenesis. .|
|Tissue Specificity||Highly expressed in CNS, bone marrow and fetal liver. Also expressed in breast, thyroid, kidney, colon, pancreas, spleen, prostate, uterus, small intestine, placenta and skeletal muscle. Among 40 tissues tested, the highest expression is detected in skin followed by breast and prostate (at protein level). Expressed in stratum corneum by sweat ducts and sweat glands and detected in sweat (at protein level). .|
|Sequence Similarities||Belongs to the peptidase S1 family. Kallikrein subfamily.|
|Subcellular Localization||Secreted, extracellular space .|

Typical Data Obtained from Human Kallikrein 14 PicoKine™ ELISA Kit
(TMB reaction incubate at 37°C for 20-25min)
*The typical data is obtained from Boster's internal QC result and for reference only. It may differ from the lab test results of the end users. It is more important that the user's lab test results reflect the same linearity demonstrated in the typical data than achieving exactly the same O.D. values.
