Q: I want to use your standard for my WB assay. How should I reconstitute the standard?
A: This standard is not designed for running Western Blot as it is designed for ELISA. Since one vial has 10 ng standard (BSA), you will need to load the entire 10 ng to the lane of your WB gel. However, the problem is that if you try to add a small volume (e.g. 10 µL) of 2X Laemmli buffer to re-constitute the 10 ng standard, you probably will not be able to completely dissolve the standard in the buffer. If you try to reconstitute the standard in a larger buffer volume, for example 100 µL, then your standard will not be concentrated enough for WB. Therefore, you should not use this 10 ng standard for WB.
