We understand the challenges involved in researching non-model species and securing conference support, and we want to help.
Through the Boster Travel Grants program, Boster Bio supports researchers working on non-model species through quarterly post-event travel grants for international conferences. Researchers studying non-model species, that is, species other than humans, rats, and mice, are eligible to apply for travel and accommodation support after attending these events.
Please review the timeline below to understand when to attend, submit, and expect quarterly review.
| Quarter | Conference Dates | Application Timing | Review |
|---|---|---|---|
| Q1 | Jan 1 – Mar 31 | After attending the conference | End of March |
| Q2 | Apr 1 – Jun 30 | After attending the conference | End of June |
| Q3 | Jul 1 – Sep 30 | After attending the conference | End of September |
| Q4 | Oct 1 – Dec 31 | After attending the conference | End of December |
Applications should be submitted after attending the conference and must include all required supporting documents.

In addition to the Boster Travel Grant, Boster Bio also supports researchers working on non-model species through a $600 custom antibody production service.
This service is designed for researchers working on species such as zebrafish, drosophila, yeast, arabidopsis, and C. elegans, as well as for discontinued antibody targets that are difficult to source elsewhere.
If your research requires custom antibody support beyond common mammalian models, explore the service below.
