Protein Function TLN1: Probably involved in connections of major cytoskeletalstructures to the plasma membrane. High molecular weightcytoskeletal protein concentrated at regions of cell-substratumcontact and, in lymphocytes, at cell-cell contacts (Bysimilarity). |TLN2: As a major component of focal adhesion plaques thatlinks integrin to the actin cytoskeleton, may play an importantrole in cell adhesion. Recruits PIP5K1C to focal adhesion plaquesand strongly activates its kinase activity (By similarity).

Background Talin is a high-molecular-weight cytoskeletal protein concentrated at regions of cell-substratum contact and, in lymphocytes, at cell-cell contacts. Talin serves a function of linking vinculin to the integrins, and, thus, the cytoskeleton to extracellular matrix(ECM) receptors. It has a mass of 270 kD and shares 23% N-terminal identity with ezrin, which has similar functions. TLN gene is mapped to 9p.

Customer Q&As

Q: Is your western blot protocol provided from the website applicable for all your antibodies? Keyword: applications, WB
A: The protocol is applicable for all our antibodies in WB, the NC Membrane(0.45μm or 0.22μm) and transfer time(70 mins or 50 mins) depends on the protein molecular weight, details can be found in included protocol.
Q: Can I conjugate markers to this antibody? Can I link custom conjugates to this antibody? Keyword: conjugation
A: The antibody is stored with BSA and cannot be conjugated with markers. Carrier free antibodies are available upon request. Please contact
Q: Can you provide monoclonal antibodies carrier free?
A: For most of our monoclonal antibodies, we are unable to provide them carrier free. If you would like to check if a specific antibody can be provided carrier free, please send an email to
Q: What are some alternative names that could be used to describe this product?
A: Some common names include but are not limited to talin 1 antibody, talin antibody, talin-1 antibody
