CCDC88C (DAPLE) is a scaffold protein implicated in planar cell polarity and Wnt signaling pathway organization, including roles described in ependymal cell planar polarity and non-canonical Wnt regulation (context dependent and model-organism specific). Assay context: antibody reported reactive with African clawed frog (Xenopus laevis). In non-mammalian models, epitope conservation and validation strategy can differ from mammalian use; notes on such constraints are often discussed under rare-species antibodies (methodological context).
