Contents
Phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.4, 15 mM sodium azide
Clonality
Monoclonal
Clone Number
BB27
Isotype
Mouse IgG1
Immunogen
Human thymic clone B12. The mouse monoclonal antibody BB27 recognizes an extracellular epitope of CD101, a 140 kDa disulfide-bonded homodimeric protein expressed on activated T cells, and some other cell types, such as granulocytes and cells of the monocyte/macropgage lineage.
Cross-reactivity
As in case with other anti-CD170 antibodies, this antibody cross-reacts with Siglec-14, whose first two Ig domains are almost identical to those of CD170.
Reactive Species
M07106 is reactive to CD101 in Human
Observed Molecular Weight

Background of CD101
CD101 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein, which forms disulfide-linked homodimers. It is expressed on activated T cells, as well as on granulocytes, monocytes, dendritic cells or mucosal T cells. It plays a major role in the activation of T cells by skin dendritic cells. Function of CD101 has not been fully elucidated, but in mice its knock-out results in liver autoimmune disease induced by Novosphingobium aromaticivorans.
Antibody Validation
Boster validates all antibodies on WB, IHC, ICC, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA with known positive control and negative samples to ensure specificity and high affinity, including thorough antibody incubations.
