Immunogen
SLAMF1 antibody was raised against a 15 amino acid synthetic peptide near the amino terminus of human SLAMF1. The immunogen is located within amino acids 30 - 80 of SLAMF1.
Cross-reactivity
4 isoforms of SLAMF1 are known to exist; this antibody will is predicted to recognize all 4 isoforms. SLAMF1 antibody is predicted to not cross-react with other SLAM protein family members.
Reactive Species
A03988 is reactive to SLAMF1 in Human, Mouse, Rat

Background of SLAMF1
The signaling lymphocyte-activation molecule family member 1 (SLAMF1) is a novel receptor on T cells that potentiates T cell expansion in a CD28-independent manner. SLAMF1 is predominantly expressed by hematopoietic tissues. Reports suggest that the extracellular domain of SLAMF1 is the receptor for the measles virus and acts as a co-activator on both T and B cells. It is thought to interact with SH2D1A and with PTPN11 via its cytoplasmic domain. Mutations of the SLAM associated gene may be associated with X-linked lympho-proliferative disease (XLP).
Antibody Validation
Boster validates all antibodies on WB, IHC, ICC, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA with known positive control and negative samples to ensure specificity and high affinity, including thorough antibody incubations.

Assay Dilutions Recommendation
The recommendations below provide a starting point for assay optimization. The actual working concentration varies and should be decided by the user.
SLAMF1 antibody can be used for detection of SLAMF1 by Western blot at 1 μg/mL. Antibody can also be used for immunohistochemistry starting at 5 μg/mL. For immunofluorescence start at 20 μg/mL.
Antibody validated: Western Blot in rat samples; Immunohistochemistry in human samples and Immunofluorescence in human samples. All other applications and species not yet tested. Optimal dilutions for each application should be determined by the researcher.
