Flow Cytometry analysis of HEPA1-6 cells using anti-CEACAM1 antibody (A00923-3).
Overlay histogram showing HEPA1-6 cells stained with A00923-3 (Blue line). The cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and blocked with 10% normal goat serum. And then incubated with rabbit anti-CEACAM1 Antibody (A00923-3, 1 μg/1x106 cells) for 30 min at 20°C. DyLight®488 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (BA1127, 5-10 μg/1x106 cells) was used as secondary antibody for 30 minutes at 20°C. Isotype control antibody (Green line) was rabbit IgG (1 μg/1x106) used under the same conditions. Unlabelled sample without incubation with primary antibody and secondary antibody (Red line) was used as a blank control.

Background of Ceacam1
Carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 1 (biliary glycoprotein) (CEACAM1) also known as CD66a (Cluster of Differentiation 66a), is a human glycoprotein, and a member of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) gene family. CEACAM1 (carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 1) is thought to be a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and is known as an epithelial tumor suppressor and an angiogenic growth factor. It has also been linked to the actin-based cytoskeleton. CEACAM1 is also known as a cellular receptor for a number of human mucosa pathogenic bacteria. The loss of activity of CEACAM1 has been related to the development of colorectal cancer.
