Flow Cytometry analysis of 293T cells using anti-DSC2 antibody (A03205-2).
Overlay histogram showing 293T cells stained with A03205-2 (Blue line). The cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and blocked with 10% normal goat serum. And then incubated with rabbit anti-DSC2 Antibody (A03205-2, 1 μg/1x106 cells) for 30 min at 20°C. Fluoro488 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (BA1127, 5-10 μg/1x106 cells) was used as secondary antibody for 30 minutes at 20°C. Isotype control antibody (Green line) was rabbit IgG (1 μg/1x106) used under the same conditions. Unlabelled sample without incubation with primary antibody and secondary antibody (Red line) was used as a blank control.

human colon cancer tissue, human skin cancer tissue, mouse heart tissue, rat heart tissue
Use TE buffer pH 9.0 for antigen retrieval; (*) citrate buffer pH 6.0 is an alternative.

Background of DSC2
This gene encodes a member of the desmocollin protein subfamily. Desmocollins, along with desmogleins, are cadherin-like transmembrane glycoproteins that are major components of the desmosome. Desmosomes are cell-cell junctions that help resist shearing forces and are found in high concentrations in cells subject to mechanical stress. This gene is found in a cluster with other desmocollin family members on chromosome 18. Mutations in this gene are associated with arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia-11, and reduced protein expression has been described in several types of cancer. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
