Immunofluorescent analysis of rat cerebellum section stained with chicken pAb to CNP, M01017-3, dilution 1:2,000 in green and costained with rabbit pAb to NF-H, dilution 1:10,000, in red. Following transcardial perfusion of rat with 4% paraformaldehyde, brain was post fixed for 24 hours, cut to 45M, and free-floating sections were stained with above antibodies. The CNP antibody stains myelin and oligodendrocytes, cells that create the myelin sheath around axons. The NF-H antibody labels the heavily phosphorylated axonal forms of NF-H which are localized in large projection axons.

Question
We are currently using anti-CNP antibody M01017-3 for pig tissue, and we are content with the WB results. The species of reactivity given in the datasheet says equine, pig. Is it possible that the antibody can work on monkey tissues as well?
Verified Customer
Verified customer
Asked: 2017-11-09
Answer
The anti-CNP antibody (M01017-3) has not been tested for cross reactivity specifically with monkey tissues, but there is a good chance of cross reactivity. We have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in monkey you can get your next antibody for free. Please contact me if I can help you with anything.
