Background of FSHR

Follicle-stimulating hormone receptor (FSHR) is a 695 amino acid G protein coupled receptor. FSH binds to the receptor in a hand-clasp fashion via its a condition characterized by the presence of multiple serous and hemorrhagic follicular cysts lined by luteinized cells.

Antibody Validation

Boster validates all antibodies on WB, IHC, ICC, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA with known positive control and negative samples to ensure specificity and high affinity, including thorough antibody incubations.

Assay Dilutions Recommendation

The recommendations below provide a starting point for assay optimization. The actual working concentration varies and should be decided by the user.

Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed) (0.1-0.2ug/ml for 30 min at RT)(Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10mM Tris with 1mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes)
Optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined.

7 Customer Q&As for Anti-FSH-Receptor (Ovarian Marker) Monoclonal Antibody

Question

Would anti-FSH-Receptor (Ovarian Marker) Monoclonal antibody M00897 work on zebrafish IHC with adipose tissue?

Verified Customer

Verified customer

Asked: 2020-05-06

Answer

Our lab technicians have not validated anti-FSH-Receptor (Ovarian Marker) Monoclonal antibody M00897 on zebrafish. You can run a BLAST between zebrafish and the immunogen sequence of anti-FSH-Receptor (Ovarian Marker) Monoclonal antibody M00897 to see if they may cross-react. If the sequence homology is close, then you can perform a pilot test. Keep in mind that since we have not validated zebrafish samples, this use of the antibody is not covered by our guarantee. However we have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in zebrafish adipose tissue in IHC, you can get your next antibody for free.
