ATP-dependent RNA helicase involved in mRNA export from the nucleus. Rather than unwinding RNA duplexes, DDX19 acts as a remodeler of ribonucleoprotein particles, whereby proteins bound to nuclear mRNA are dissociated and substituted by cytoplasmic mRNA binding proteins (By similarity).
