Expressed exclusively in vomeronasal neurons (PubMed:19387439 and PubMed:19497865). Expressed in 0.8 % of a subset of sensory neurons located in the apical layer of the vomeronasal organ. Localized in sensory somata as well as dendritic cells. Each neuron appears to express only one receptor gene.
