Description
Mix-n-Stain™ Nanobody Labeling Kits are the only kits specifically designed for labeling single-domain Nanobodies® (also called camelid single variable or VHH domains) with fluorescent dyes or biotin. The kits allow optimal labeling of between 5-50 ug of nanobody in just 30 minutes, with minimal hands-on time and no purification. The kit reduces the chance of over-labeling the nanobody, which can affect antigen binding. Labeling tolerates common buffer additives, including BSA. The kits come with a selection of next-generation fluorescent CF® dyes or biotin. CF® dyes have advantages in brightness and photostability compared to Alexa Fluor®, DyLight®, and other fluorescent dyes. These kits allow labeling of 5-20 ug or 20-50 ug of Nanobody®, with a choice of 7 CF® Dye colors or biotin. They feature simple 30 minute labeling with no purification, compatibility with common stabilizers, and are designed to prevent over-labeling. Dye options are available for super-resolution and 2-photon imaging. Before selecting a Mix-n-Stain™ Nanobody Labeling Kit, users are advised to consult the product protocol to review kit compatibility and protocol selection guidelines. Biotium also offers a Mix-n-Stain™ Nanobody Thiol Labeling Kit designed for labeling VHH via a single cysteine only, which is useful for labeling commercially available nanobodies that contain a single cysteine or for labeling VHH for functionality studies. For labeling IgG antibodies, Mix-n-Stain™ Antibody Labeling Kits are recommended. Mix-n-Stain™ Small Ligand Labeling Kits are available for labeling SNAP-tag®, CLIP-tag™, and HaloTag® ligands, or other small molecules. The Mix-n-Stain™ product line includes a full selection of antibody, protein, and ligand labeling kits to support a wide range of fluorescence labeling applications.
Details
Mix-n-Stain™ Nanobody Labeling Kits are specifically optimized for labeling single-domain Nanobodies® (camelid single variable or VHH domains) with fluorescent CF® Dyes or biotin. The kits are designed to label 5–50 µg of nanobody in approximately 30 minutes with minimal hands-on time and no post-labeling purification.
- Optimized for 5–20 µg or 20–50 µg of Nanobody®
- Choice of 7 CF® Dye colors or biotin
- Simple 30 minute workflow with no purification step
- Formulation helps prevent over-labeling that can compromise antigen binding
- Compatible with common stabilizers, including BSA
- Dye options suitable for super-resolution and 2-photon imaging
CF® Dyes offer high brightness and photostability compared to many commonly used fluorescent dyes, making these kits suitable for demanding fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry applications.
