Figure 1. Western blot analysis of C19orf80 using anti-C19orf80 antibody (A02471).
Electrophoresis was performed on a 5-20% SDS-PAGE gel at 70V (Stacking gel) / 90V (Resolving gel) for 2-3 hours. The sample well of each lane was loaded with 50ug of sample under reducing conditions.
Lane 1: human HepG2 whole Cell lysate.
After Electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a Nitrocellulose membrane at 150mA for 50-90 minutes. Blocked the membrane with 5% Non-fat Milk/ TBS for 1.5 hour at RT. The membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-C19orf80 antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody (Catalog # A02471) at 0.5 μg/mL overnight at 4°C, then washed with TBS-0.1%Tween 3 times with 5 minutes each and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:10000 for 1.5 hour at RT. The signal is developed using an Enhanced Chemiluminescent detection (ECL) kit (Catalog # EK1002) with Tanon 5200 system. A specific band was detected for C19orf80 at approximately 22KD. The expected band size for C19orf80 is at 22KD.

Question
Would anti-C19orf80/ANGPTL8 antibody A02471 work on primate WB with liver?
Verified Customer
Asked: 2019-05-15
Answer
Our lab technicians have not validated anti-C19orf80/ANGPTL8 antibody A02471 on primate. You can run a BLAST between primate and the immunogen sequence of anti-C19orf80/ANGPTL8 antibody A02471 to see if they may cross-react. If the sequence homology is close, then you can perform a pilot test. Keep in mind that since we have not validated primate samples, this use of the antibody is not covered by our guarantee. However we have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in primate liver in WB, you can get your next antibody for free.
