Boster Bio Anti-DELTA-4 DLL4 Antibody catalog # A00875-2. Tested in IHC, WB applications. This antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat.

Storage & Handling

Store vial at -20° C or below prior to opening. This vial contains a relatively low volume of reagent (25 uL) . To minimize loss of volume dilute 1:10 by adding 225 uL of the buffer stated above directly to the vial. Recap, mix thoroughly and briefly centrifuge to collect the volume at the bottom of the vial. Use this intermediate dilution when calculating final dilutions as recommended below. Store the vial at -20°C or below after dilution. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing.

Based on literature heart left ventricle does express DLL4. Based on Uniprot.org, DLL4 is expressed in heart left ventricle, brain, placenta, among other tissues. Regarding which tissues have DLL4 expression, here are a few articles citing expression in various tissues:

Question

My boss were well pleased with the WB result of your anti-DELTA-4 antibody. However we have observed positive staining in brain cell membrane using this antibody. Is that expected? Could you tell me where is DLL4 supposed to be expressed?

From what I have seen in literature, brain does express DLL4. Generally DLL4 expresses in cell membrane. Regarding which tissues have DLL4 expression, here are a few articles citing expression in various tissues:

We are currently using anti-DELTA-4 antibody A00875-2 for mouse tissue, and we are happy with the WB results. The species of reactivity given in the datasheet says human, mouse, rat. Is it possible that the antibody can work on horse tissues as well?

The anti-DELTA-4 antibody (A00875-2) has not been tested for cross reactivity specifically with horse tissues, though there is a good chance of cross reactivity.
