Background of Phosphodiesterase 4D
cAMP-specific 3',5'-cyclic phosphodiesterase 4D is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the PDE4D gene. This gene encodes one of four mammalian counterparts to the fruit fly 'dunce' gene. The encoded protein has 3',5'-cyclic-AMP phosphodiesterase activity and degrades cAMP, which acts as a signal transduction molecule in multiple cell types. This gene uses different promoters to generate multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode functional proteins.

We are currently using anti-Human PDE4D DyLight® 550 conjugated antibody A01111-Dyl550 for human tissue, and we are content with the Flow Cytometry results. The species of reactivity given in the datasheet says human. Is it likely that the antibody can work on dog tissues as well?

The anti-Human PDE4D DyLight® 550 conjugated antibody (A01111-Dyl550) has not been tested for cross reactivity specifically with dog tissues, but there is a good chance of cross reactivity.
