Background of ICAM2
Intercellular adhesion molecule 2 (ICAM2), also known as CD102 (Cluster of Differentiation 102), is a human gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM) family. All ICAM proteins are type I transmembrane glycoproteins, contain 2-9 immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains, and bind to the leukocyte adhesion LFA-1 protein. This protein may play a role in lymphocyte recirculation by blocking LFA-1-dependent cell adhesion. It mediates adhesive interactions important for antigen-specific immune response, NK-cell mediated clearance, lymphocyte recirculation, and other cellular interactions important for immune response and surveillance. Several transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.

Western blot analysis of ICAM2 using anti-ICAM2 antibody (A03965).
Electrophoresis was performed on a 10% SDS-PAGE gel at 80V (Stacking gel) / 120V (Resolving gel) for 2 hours. The sample well of each lane was loaded with 30 ug of sample under reducing conditions.
Lane 1: human Jurkat whole cell lysates,
Lane 2: human HEL whole cell lysates,
Lane 3: human K562 whole cell lysates,
Lane 4: mouse spleen tissue lysates.
After electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a nitrocellulose membrane at 150 mA for 50-90 minutes. Blocked the membrane with 5% non-fat milk/TBS for 1.5 hour at RT. The membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-ICAM2 antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody (A03965) at 0.5 μg/mL overnight at 4°C, then washed with TBS-0.1%Tween 3 times with 5 minutes each and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody (Catalog # BA1054) at a dilution of 1:5000 for 1.5 hour at RT. The signal is developed using an ECL Plus Western Blotting Substrate (Catalog # AR1196-200) with Tanon 5200 system. A specific band was detected for ICAM2 at approximately 60 kDa. The expected band size for ICAM2 is at 31 kDa.

Flow Cytometry analysis of HEL cells using anti-ICAM2 antibody (A03965).
Overlay histogram showing HEL cells stained with A03965 (Blue line). The cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and blocked with 10% normal goat serum. And then incubated with rabbit anti-ICAM2 Antibody (A03965, 1 μg/1x106 cells) for 30 min at 20°C. DyLight®488 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (BA1127, 5-10 μg/1x106 cells) was used as secondary antibody for 30 minutes at 20°C. Isotype control antibody (Green line) was rabbit IgG (1 μg/1x106) used under the same conditions. Unlabelled sample without incubation with primary antibody and secondary antibody (Red line) was used as a blank control.

Can A03965 be used for neuroblastoma cells?

The Anti-ICAM2 Antibody Picoband™ (A03965) hasn't been used for neuroblastoma cells as our lab hasn't had the cells available in our sample panel. We suggest to run a pilot test to see if the antibody can work for the specific cells.

We are currently using anti-ICAM2 antibody A03965 for rat tissue, and we are happy with the ELISA results. The species of reactivity given in the datasheet says human, rat. Is it true that the antibody can work on feline tissues as well?

The anti-ICAM2 antibody (A03965) has not been tested for cross reactivity specifically with feline tissues, but there is a good chance of cross reactivity.
