Flow Cytometry analysis of JK cells using anti-LHPP antibody (A10687).
Overlay histogram showing JK cells stained with A10687 (Blue line). To facilitate intracellular staining, cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with permeabilization buffer. The cells were blocked with 10% normal goat serum. And then incubated with rabbit anti-LHPP Antibody (A10687, 1 μg/1x106 cells) for 30 min at 20°C. DyLight®488 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (BA1127, 5-10 μg/1x106 cells) was used as secondary antibody for 30 minutes at 20°C. Isotype control antibody (Green line) was rabbit IgG (1 μg/1x106) used under the same conditions. Unlabelled sample (Red line) was also used as a control.

Background of LHPP
LHPP, also known as HDHD2B, is a 270 amino acid protein that exists as a homodimer and is a member of the HAD-like hydrolase superfamily. Expressed in liver, kidney and moderately in brain, LHPP is encoded by a gene located on 10, which houses over 1,200 genes and comprises nearly 4.5 % of the human genome. Defects in some of the genes that map to chromosome 10 are associated with Charcot-Marie Tooth disease, Jackson-Weiss syndrome, Usher syndrome, nonsyndromatic deafness, Wolman?s syndrome, Cowden syndrome, multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 and porphyria
