Flow Cytometry analysis of THP-1 cells using anti-LRRC2 antibody (A16692-1).
Overlay histogram showing THP-1 cells stained with A16692-1 (Blue line). To facilitate intracellular staining, cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with permeabilization buffer. The cells were blocked with 10% normal goat serum. And then incubated with rabbit anti-LRRC2 Antibody (A16692-1, 1 μg/1x106 cells) for 30 min at 20°C. Fluoro488 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (BA1127, 5-10 μg/1x106 cells) was used as secondary antibody for 30 minutes at 20°C. Isotype control antibody (Green line) was rabbit IgG (1 μg/1x106) used under the same conditions. Unlabelled sample without incubation with primary antibody and secondary antibody (Red line) was used as a blank control.

Background of LRRC2
This gene encodes a member of the leucine-rich repeat-containing family of proteins, which function in diverse biological pathways. This family member may possibly be a nuclear protein. Similarity to the RAS suppressor protein, as well as expression down-regulation observed in tumor cells, suggests that it may function as a tumor suppressor. The gene is located in the chromosome 3 common eliminated region 1 (C3CER1), a 1.4 Mb region that is commonly deleted in diverse tumors. A related pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 2.
