Description
Boster Bio Anti-Membrin Gosr2 Antibody catalog # A08717. Tested in IHC applications. This antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat.
Storage & Handling
Store vial at -20°C or below prior to opening. This vial contains a relatively low volume of reagent (25 µL). To minimize loss of volume dilute 1:10 by adding 225 µL of the buffer stated above directly to the vial. Recap, mix thoroughly and briefly centrifuge to collect the volume at the bottom of the vial. Use this intermediate dilution when calculating final dilutions as recommended below. Store the vial at -20°C or below after dilution. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Expiration date is three (3) months from date of opening.

Background of Membrin
Epithelial splicing regulatory protein 1 (Esrp-1) and Esrp-2 are mRNA splicing factors that regulate the formation of epithelial cell-specific isoforms. They specifically regulate the expression of FGFR2-IIIb, an epithelial cell-specific isoform of FGFR2, and also regulates the splicing of CD44, CTNND1, ENAH, 3 transcripts that undergo changes in splicing during the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT). Esrp-1 and -2 act by directly binding specific sequences in mRNAs. They bind the GU-rich sequence motifs in the ISE/ISS-3, a cis-element regulatory region present in the mRNA of FGFR2.
Antibody Validation
Boster validates all antibodies on WB, IHC, ICC, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA with known positive control and negative samples to ensure specificity and high affinity, including thorough antibody incubations.

Question
Would anti-Membrin antibody A08717 work on monkey IHC with osteosarcoma?
Verified Customer
Verified customer
Asked: 2019-12-12
Answer
Our lab technicians have not validated anti-Membrin antibody A08717 on monkey. You can run a BLAST between monkey and the immunogen sequence of anti-Membrin antibody A08717 to see if they may cross-react. If the sequence homology is close, then you can perform a pilot test. Keep in mind that since we have not validated monkey samples, this use of the antibody is not covered by our guarantee. However we have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in monkey osteosarcoma in IHC, you can get your next antibody for free.
