Background of NEXN
Nexilin, Also known as NEXN, NELIN, is a filamentous actin-binding protein that localizes to focal contacts and may be involved in cell adhesion and migration(PMID: 15823560). Nexilin is abundantly expressed in heart and skeletal muscle and has an essential role in the maintenance of Z line and sarcomere integrity(PMID: 12053183, 19881492). Mutations in Nexilin have been associated with cardiomyopathy dilated type 1CC (CMD1CC) and cardiomyopathy familial hypertrophic type 20 (CMH20)(PMID: 19881492, 20970104).

IHC analysis of NEXN using anti-NEXN antibody (A06648-1).
NEXN was detected in a paraffin-embedded section of mouse heart tissue. Heat mediated antigen retrieval was performed in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0, epitope retrieval solution). The tissue section was blocked with 10% goat serum. The tissue section was then incubated with 1:200 rabbit anti-NEXN Antibody (A06648-1) overnight at 4°C. Peroxidase Conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG was used as secondary antibody and incubated for 30 minutes at 37°C. The tissue section was developed using HRP Conjugated Rabbit IgG Super Vision Assay Kit (Catalog # SV0002) with DAB as the chromogen.
