May play a role in a mitochondrial network organization average for stem cells, characterized by reduced mitochondrial metabolism, low mtDNA copies and fragmentated mitochondrial network. may act by suppressing ATAD3A function, interfering with ATAD3A interaction with matrix nucleoid complexes.
