If you're looking for a new antibody to detect the CHRNA4 protein, you'll be glad to learn about Boster Bio's CHRNA4 Marker. This product has a long history in the research community and offers high-affinity primary antibodies that have been validated for use in Western Blotting, Immunohistochemistry, and ELISA. Read on to learn more about the CHRNA4 Marker and its applications.
The Boster Bio Anti-CHRNA4 Markers are part of their Picoband(tm) catalog. They react with human, mouse and rat samples. The antibodies are non-hazardous and able to withstand long-term storage. Boster Bio antibodies have been validated on known positive and negative samples. These antibodies can be used in immunohistochemistry, Western Blotting, and ELISA applications.
The CHRNA4 gene provides instructions for making a subunit of a larger protein. The nAChR protein is composed of five subunits, including an alpha subunit and two beta subunits. The CHRNA4 gene produces the a4 subunit. It is also known as the nAChR a4 gene. This gene is found in postmortem brain tissue. These studies are being conducted to determine whether this gene has an association with psychiatric disorders.
Single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the CHRNA4 marker were selected from the National Center for Biotechnology Information database to test whether they alter protein binding sites. The entire 3' UTR was tested in single-nucleotide polymorphisms using luciferase activity assays. The results from these studies showed that CHRNA4 SNPs were associated with several genes and clusters. The SNPs associated with CHRNA4 were not associated with previously established SNPs.
The CHRNA4 marker is a new addition to Boster Bio's repertoire of highly sensitive, high-affinity primary antibodies. Boster antibodies are based on Affymetrix's proprietary software and have been validated for high-quality performance across multiple assays, including Western Blotting, Immunohistochemistry, and ELISA. Boster antibodies are the first to be validated for the CHRNA4 gene, a candidate for the Alzheimer's disease gene ALK.
