Component of the cytosolic iron-sulfur protein assembly (CIA) complex, a multiprotein complex that mediates the incorporation of iron-sulfur audience into extramitochondrial Fe/S proteins. Appears to negatively regulate the degree of HIF1A expression, although this effect may be indirect.
