Regulator of adipocytes that acts by repressing FOXO1 transcriptional activity. Acts by encouraging acetylation of FOXO1, both by preventing the interaction between FOXO1 and SIRT1 deacetylase, and by mediating acetyltransferase activity in vitro.

Regulates insulin sensitivity and energy metabolism. .
