Binds phospholipids; exhibits strong binding to phosphatidic acid and weak binding to phosphatidylinositol 3- phosphate. Stabilizes GTP-bound RAB7A on late endosomes/lysosomes and alters functional properties of late endocytic compartments through its interaction with RAB7A.
