Phospholipase B1, membrane-associated (PLB1)

Membrane-associated phospholipase. Exhibits a calcium- independent wide substrate specificity such as phospholipase A2/lysophospholipase activity.

Preferential hydrolysis in the sn-2 place of diacylphospholipids and diacyglycerol, whereas it shows no positional specificity toward triacylglycerol. Exhibits also esterase activity toward p-nitrophenyl.
