Testis-specific. Expressed in spermatogonia and spermatocytes. Expressed in Leydig and Sertoli cells (at protein level). Expressed 2 weeks after birth and remains highly expressed in the sexually mature testis. Expressed in the seminiferous tubules but not in the interstitial tissues. Expressed in type B spermatogonia and spermatocytes at stages between preleptotene and pachytene during the spermatogenesis cycle.
