Rab effector protein acting as linker between gamma- adaptin, RAB4A or RAB5A. Involved in endocytic membrane fusion and membrane trafficking of recycling endosomes.

Stimulates nucleotide exchange on RAB5A. Can function as a ubiquitin ligase (By similarity).
