Binds equally single-stranded and double-stranded DNA with higher affinity for the single-stranded form. Also binds single- stranded RNA.
Enhances RNA unwinding activity of DDX39A. May participate in important transcriptional or translational control of cell growth, metabolism and carcinogenesis.
