Inhibits TNF-induced apoptosis by mediating the TNFAIP3 anti-apoptotic action. Degraded by caspase-3-like family proteins on TNF-induced apoptosis.

May also play a role in the pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-1 signaling cascade. .
