Transcriptional coactivator of the p300/CBP-mediated transcription complex. Activates transactivation via cAMP response element (CRE) sites.

Protects against cell death by inducing antiapoptotic and repressing pro-apoptotic transcripts. Stimulates transcription from the estrogen-responsive or BCL-2 promoters.
