Background of OLFM2

Olfactomedin 2, also known as noelin 2, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the OLFM2 gene. OLFM2 is an olfactomedin domain-containing protein that is involved in early eye development and function. It also plays a role in TGFB-mediated differentiation of smooth muscle cells (SMCs) from mesenchymal stem cells.
