This upcoming Sunday, July 28th, is World Hepatitis Day, an annual international awareness event for 325 million people globally affected by hepatitis. World Hepatitis Day is one of WHO's four disease-specific global health days that is supported by organizations such as the World Hepatitis Alliance, HHS, and CDC.
Hepatitis B and C is the most common cause of cirrhosis and liver cancer. Every year, more than a million deaths are associated with hepatitis, making hepatitis the second major killer infectious disease after tuberculosis. As a result, hepatitis research, in particular the study of hepatitis B and C viruses, is identified as a priority for the NIH’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).
In support of hepatitis research, Boster Bio offers a range of hepatitis-related research products . Click below to find out more about hepatitis, the international campaign, and Boster tools for your hepatitis research.
