Anopheles gambiae TEP1 (thioester-containing protein 1) is a complement-like innate immune factor implicated in opsonization/phagocytosis and resistance/susceptibility to Plasmodium infection (vector immunity context). Assay context: indicates no validated applications; use may require assay optimization and appropriate positive controls (e.g., guided by assay services concepts for method selection).
