Immunogen
A synthesized peptide derived from human APC Tumor suppressor. Promotes rapid degradation of CTNNB1 and participates in Wnt signaling as a negative regulator. APC activity is correlated with its phosphorylation state. Activates the GEF activity of SPATA13 and ARHGEF4. Plays a role in hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) -induced cell migration. Required for MMP9 up-regulation via the JNK signaling pathway in colorectal tumor cells. Acts as a mediator of ERBB2-dependent stabilization of microtubules at the cell cortex.

Background of APC
The ion channels activated by glutamate are typically divided into two classes. Those that are sensitive to N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) are designated NMDA receptors (NMDAR) while those activated by α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxalone propionic acid (AMPA) are known as AMPA receptors (AMPAR). The AMPAR are comprised of four distinct glutamate receptor subunits designated (GluR1-4) and they play key roles in virtually all excitatory neurotransmission in the brain (Keinänen et al., 1990; Hollmann and Heinemann, 1994). The GluR1 subunit is widely expressed throughout the nervous system. Phosphorylation of Ser-845 on GluR1 is thought to be mediated by PKA and phosphorylation of this site increases the conductance of the AMPAR (Roche et al., 1996; Banke et al., 2000). In addition, phosphorylation of this site has been linked to synaptic plasticity as well as learning and memory (Lee at al., 2003; Esteban at al., 2003).

1 Customer Q&As for Anti-APC Monoclonal Antibody
Question
We are currently using anti-APC Monoclonal antibody M00008 for rat tissue, and we are happy with the WB results. The species of reactivity given in the datasheet says human, rat. Is it true that the antibody can work on pig tissues as well?

Asked: 2019-01-09
Answer
The anti-APC Monoclonal antibody (M00008) has not been tested for cross reactivity specifically with pig tissues, but there is a good chance of cross reactivity. We have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in pig you can get your next antibody for free. Please contact me if I can help you with anything.
