4 Customer Q&As for Anti-CD53 Monoclonal Antibody
Question
Why the expected band size of 24 kDa can't be seen. Instead there is a band showing up at approx. 35 kDa. What is the cause?
Verified customer
Asked: 2022-01-26
Answer
M06249 is a membrane protein, and it will have post-translational modifications that cause the actual molecular weight to be larger than theoretical MW.

Question
We are currently using anti-CD53 Monoclonal antibody M06249 for human tissue, and we are happy with the IF results. The species of reactivity given in the datasheet says human. Is it true that the antibody can work on monkey tissues as well?
C. Gonzalez
Verified customer
Asked: 2016-06-30
Answer
The anti-CD53 Monoclonal antibody (M06249) has not been validated for cross reactivity specifically with monkey tissues, but there is a good chance of cross reactivity. We have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in monkey you can get your next antibody for free. Please contact me if I can help you with anything.
