|Tissue Specificity||Highly expressed in placenta. .|
|Alternative Names||Collagen alpha-1(IV) chain;Arresten;COL4A1;|
|Subcellular Localization||Secreted, extracellular space, extracellular matrix, basement membrane.|
|Molecular Weight||160615 MW|
*if product is indicated to react with multiple species, protein info is based on the human gene.
|Protein Function||Type IV collagen is the major structural component of glomerular basement membranes (GBM), forming a 'chicken-wire' meshwork together with laminins, proteoglycans and entactin/nidogen.|
*You can search these to find other products in these research areas.
|Background||Collagen IV is comprised of a third chain(alpha-3) together with the 2 classical ones, alpha-1 and alpha-2. COL4A3 gene is localized to 2q36-q37 by analysis of somatic cell hybrids and by in situ hybridization. The alpha-3 chain of type IV collagen induces autoimmune Goodpasture syndrome. Mutations in the COL4A4 and COL4A3 genes cause familial benign hematuria.|

Q: Will MA1030 cross-react with mouse samples?A: MA1030 does not cross-react with mouse samples.
Q: Is your western blot protocol provided from the website applicable for all your antibodies? Keyword: applications, WBA: The protocol is applicable for all our antibodies in WB, the NC Membrane(0.45μm or 0.22μm) and transfer time(70 mins or 50 mins) depends on the protein molecular weight, details can be found in included protocol.
Q: Can I conjugate markers to this antibody? Can I link custom conjugates to this antibody? Keyword: conjugationA: The antibody is stored with BSA and cannot be conjugated with markers. Carrier free antibodies are available upon request. Please contact email@example.com
Q: Can you provide monoclonal antibodies carrier free?A: For most of our monoclonal antibodies, we are unable to provide them carrier free. If you would like to check if a specific antibody can be provided carrier free, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
