Background of HNF-3 alpha/FoxA1
C3 plays a central role in the activation of the complement system. Its processing by C3 convertase is the central reaction in both classical and alternative complement pathways. After activation C3b can bind covalently, via its reactive thioester, to cell surface carbohydrates or immune aggregates.
Antibody Validation
Boster validates all antibodies on WB, IHC, ICC, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA with known positive control and negative samples to ensure specificity and high affinity, including thorough antibody incubations.

Question
Would anti-FOXA1/Hnf 3 Alpha Rabbit Monoclonal antibody M00266-1 work on feline IF with mammary gland trachea?
Verified Customer
Verified customer
Asked: 2019-08-09
Answer
Our lab technicians have not tested anti-FOXA1/Hnf 3 Alpha Rabbit Monoclonal antibody M00266-1 on feline. You can run a BLAST between feline and the immunogen sequence of anti-FOXA1/Hnf 3 Alpha Rabbit Monoclonal antibody M00266-1 to see if they may cross-react. If the sequence homology is close, then you can perform a pilot test. Keep in mind that since we have not validated feline samples, this use of the antibody is not covered by our guarantee. However we have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in feline mammary gland trachea in IF, you can get your next antibody for free.

Asked: 2018-03-08
Answer
As indicated on the product datasheet, M00266-1 anti-FOXA1/Hnf 3 Alpha Rabbit Monoclonal antibody as been tested on WB. It is best to use PFA for fixation because it has better tissue penetration ability. PFA needs to be prepared fresh before use. Long term stored PFA turns into formalin, as the PFA molecules congregate and become formalin.
