Background of FOSL1
Fos-related antigen 1 (FRA1) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the FOSL1 gene. The Fos gene family consists of 4 members: FOS, FOSB, FOSL1, and FOSL2. These genes encode leucine zipper proteins that can dimerize with proteins of the JUN family, thereby forming the transcription factor complex AP-1. As such, the FOS proteins have been implicated as regulators of cell proliferation, differentiation, and transformation. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Antibody Validation
Boster validates all antibodies on WB, IHC, ICC, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA with known positive control and negative samples to ensure specificity and high affinity, including thorough antibody incubations.

Western blot analysis of FRA1 using anti-FRA1 antibody (A03927-1).
Electrophoresis was performed on a 5-20% SDS-PAGE gel at 70V (Stacking gel) / 90V (Resolving gel) for 2-3 hours. The sample well of each lane was loaded with 50ug of sample under reducing conditions.
Lane 1: human A375 whole cell lysates.
After Electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a Nitrocellulose membrane at 150mA for 50-90 minutes. Blocked the membrane with 5% Non-fat Milk/ TBS for 1.5 hour at RT. The membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-FRA1 antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody (Catalog # A03927-1) at 0.5 μg/mL overnight at 4°C, then washed with TBS-0.1%Tween 3 times with 5 minutes each and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:10000 for 1.5 hour at RT. The signal is developed using an Enhanced Chemiluminescent detection (ECL) kit (Catalog # EK1002) with Tanon 5200 system. A specific band was detected for FRA1 at approximately 29KD. The expected band size for FRA1 is at 29KD.

5 Customer Q&As for Anti-FRA1/FOSL1 Antibody Picoband®
Question
Would anti-FRA1/FOSL1 antibody A03927-1 work on bovine WB with blood?
Verified Customer
Verified customer
Asked: 2019-12-24
Answer
Our lab technicians have not tested anti-FRA1/FOSL1 antibody A03927-1 on bovine. You can run a BLAST between bovine and the immunogen sequence of anti-FRA1/FOSL1 antibody A03927-1 to see if they may cross-react. If the sequence homology is close, then you can perform a pilot test. Keep in mind that since we have not validated bovine samples, this use of the antibody is not covered by our guarantee. However we have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in bovine blood in WB, you can get your next antibody for free.
