Background of HUS1B

The protein encoded by the Hus1B gene is most closely related to HUS1, a component of a cell cycle checkpoint protein complex involved in cell cycle arrest in response to DNA damage. This protein can interact with the checkpoint protein RAD1 but not with RAD9. Over expression of this protein has been shown to induce cell death, which suggests a related but distinct role of this protein, as compared to HUS1. Hus1B is expressed strongly in testis, less in spleen, thymus, prostate, colon and leukocytes. Anti-HUSB1 Antibody is useful for researchers interested in DNA damage and repair.

Antibody Validation

Boster validates all antibodies on WB, IHC, ICC, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA with known positive control and negative samples to ensure specificity and high affinity, including thorough antibody incubations.

Question

We are currently using anti-Hus1B antibody A13393 for human tissue, and we are well pleased with the IP results. The species of reactivity given in the datasheet says human. Is it true that the antibody can work on goat tissues as well?

Verified Customer

Verified customer

Asked: 2019-04-01

Answer

The anti-Hus1B antibody (A13393) has not been tested for cross reactivity specifically with goat tissues, but there is a good chance of cross reactivity. We have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in goat you can get your next antibody for free. Please contact me if I can help you with anything.

Question

Would anti-Hus1B antibody A13393 work on primate IP with liver?

H. Banerjee

Verified customer

Asked: 2017-10-16

Answer

Our lab technicians have not tested anti-Hus1B antibody A13393 on primate. You can run a BLAST between primate and the immunogen sequence of anti-Hus1B antibody A13393 to see if they may cross-react. If the sequence homology is close, then you can perform a pilot test. Keep in mind that since we have not validated primate samples, this use of the antibody is not covered by our guarantee. However we have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in primate liver in IP, you can get your next antibody for free.
