Background of Il2
IL-2, Interleukin-2, formerly referred to as T-cell growth factor, is a powerfully immunoregulatory lymphokine that is produced by lectin-or antigen-activated T cells. In situ hybridization, the IL-2 gene is assigned to 4q26-q28. IL2 can act as a growth hormone for both B and T lymphocytes. It is useful in the study of the molecular nature of T-cell differentiation and, like interferons, augments natural killer cell activity.
Antibody Validation
Boster validates all antibodies on WB, IHC, ICC, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA with known positive control and negative samples to ensure specificity and high affinity, including thorough antibody incubations.

Asked: 2020-01-08
Answer
The anti-IL2 antibody (PA1466) has not been tested for cross reactivity specifically with horse tissues, but there is a good chance of cross reactivity. We have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in horse you can get your next antibody for free. Please contact me if I can help you with anything.

Asked: 2019-11-14
Answer
From literature blood does express IL2. From Uniprot.org, IL2 is expressed in small intestine peyer's patch, placenta, blood, among other tissues. Regarding which tissues have IL2 expression, here are a few articles citing expression in various tissues:
Blood, Pubmed ID: 15489334
Placenta, Pubmed ID: 8824916
