Background of OGR1

Proton-sensing receptor involved in pH homeostasis. May represents an osteoblastic pH sensor regulating cell-mediated responses to acidosis in bone. Mediates its action by association with G proteins that stimulates inositol phosphate (IP) production or Ca2+ mobilization. The receptor is almost silent at pH 7.8 but fully activated at pH 6.8. Function also as a metastasis suppressor gene in prostate cancer By similarity.

Question

Will anti-SPR1 antibody A03726 work on dog WB with tendon of biceps brachii?

Verified Customer

Verified customer

Asked: 2018-10-30

Answer

Our lab technicians have not validated anti-SPR1 antibody A03726 on dog. You can run a BLAST between dog and the immunogen sequence of anti-SPR1 antibody A03726 to see if they may cross-react. If the sequence homology is close, then you can perform a pilot test. Keep in mind that since we have not validated dog samples, this use of the antibody is not covered by our guarantee. However we have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in dog tendon of biceps brachii in WB, you can get your next antibody for free.
