IHC analysis of WNT2B using anti-WNT2B antibody (PB9462).
WNT2B was detected in a paraffin-embedded section of mouse brain tissue. Heat mediated antigen retrieval was performed in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0, epitope retrieval solution). The tissue section was blocked with 10% goat serum. The tissue section was then incubated with 1 μg/ml rabbit anti-WNT2B Antibody (PB9462) overnight at 4°C. Biotinylated goat anti-rabbit IgG was used as secondary antibody and incubated for 30 minutes at 37°C. The tissue section was developed using Strepavidin-Biotin-Complex (SABC) (Catalog # SA1022) with DAB as the chromogen.

Background of WNT2B
WNT2B (Wingless-Type MMTV Integration Site Family Member 2B), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the WNT2B gene. This gene encodes a member of the wingless-type MMTV integration site (WNT) family of highly conserved, secreted signaling factors. Katoh et al. (1996) used fluorescence in situ hybridization to map the WNT13 gene to chromosome 1p13. WNT family members function in a variety of developmental processes including regulation of cell growth and differentiation and are characterized by a WNT-core domain. This gene may play a role in human development as well as human carcinogenesis.
