ANGPTL1 Marker

The ANGPTL1 Gene is an oncogene expressed in the stomach, small intestine and the small intestine. Its expression decreases in GC, particularly in intestinal-type tumours. The FC was -2.090 with gastric adenocarcinoma. It was 3.599 with intestinal-type cancers. Cho and Cui reported that the FC for intestinal type GC was -2.074 versus 3.703. Wang and colleagues found a significant decline in the expression of ANGPTL1 in intestinal-type GC.

AngPTL1 comes from the ANGPTL famiy. Although ANGPTL4 protein is produced by the liver in humans, its expression has been limited. Although endogenous ANGPTL4 mRNA and protein are detectable by PCR, commercial antibodies do not recognize this protein. To solve this problem, a plasmid containing a Myc–His-tagged version C-terminal of the human ANGPTL4 genetic code was created. Western blotting revealed that the His epitope was found in the C-terminus ANGPTL4–myc protein. Further, the C-terminus of human ANGPTL4-myc was detected in Huh7 cells with a commercial antibody.
