Facts about RILP-like protein 1.

RILP-like protein 1 (Rilpl1)

Neuroprotective protein, which acts by sequestring GAPDH from the cytosol and stop the apoptotic function of GAPDH from the nucleus. Competes with SIAH1 for binding GAPDH.

Does not govern lysosomal morphology and distribution (By similarity). Plays a role in the regulation of cell shape and polarity.
